Duck Races 2024

The 2024 Duck Races were held on July 13, 2024

Many thanks to everybody who have provided photos for this page (*see note at  bottom of this page)

This statement from the competitors was posted on local social media by a “spokesduck”.

“We wanted to thank all those people who came along to the Exning Duck Races on Saturday. We understand the queues to sponsor us were almost back to the river. We had been worried that the weather reports might have prevented people coming. At one time in the week, we had been concerned that the level in the stream might have been too high and we might not have been able to race or would have needed helmets to go under the bridge. In the end, conditions were great for racing and we had the spectacle of 3 dead heats requiring “run offs”. Thank you all for coming.”

The queues to sponsor ducks were some of the longest we’ve see, down the path, out into Church Lane and haflway towards the course.
