Murder Mystery – Privacy & Data Protection Policy
The GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulation, has been in operation since May 2017 and is enforceable from 25th May 2018.
You agree to your data being held as a condition of booking, or making an enquiry about a booking.
Murder Mystery will comply with the requirements of GDPR in line with its Privacy Policy, in the following way:
1) Information about you/ Why we need this data
a) What data will we collect
i) Required:
(1) Your name, email address and phone number – to keep you informed of any changes to Murder Mystery events and for allocation of teams to tables.
(2) If you are organising a table of guests, the names of those guests. You are responsible for obtaining their approval having drawn their attention to this Policy.
ii) If volunteered by you:
(1) Any dietary requirements
b) Where and how it is stored:
i) On paper and in a spreadsheet held securely by the Murder Mystery Booking Officer.
c) Who can view it / what they can view:
i) The following organisers of Murder Mystery events: The Booking Officer, DPO (Data Protection Officer), The Organiser/ all information you provided
ii) Emails to multiple addressees will be sent using “bcc” to prevent your email being shared.
2) You may provide data in a number of formats e.g. on paper, by phone, by email, by messaging, on line, etc and may have a copy of this policy by request to the DPO (email johnsaville129@gmail.com)
3) The DPO (Data Protection Officer) for Murder Mystery is John Saville 07968-
4) You have the right to:
a) Be removed from the list etc; if you cancel your booking
b) See what information we store about you, by request to the DPO, and we will provide this within one month.
c) Have your data deleted
d) Change details of the data
5) Your data will not be shared with others.
6) We will retain the information:
a) no more than 2 weeks after the Murder Mystery event for which you provided it or
b) if you wished to purchase tickets but were unable to do so as all tickets had been sold:
(1) you may give your consent to be placed on a “reserve list” in case others cancel,
(2) your information will be retained until 1 week after the following Murder Mystery evening to enable you to be given advanced information of that event ahead of general publicity.
(3) If there is no performance within 2 years you will be contacted to confirm thsat you wish your data to be retained for this purpose
